A former army officer and avid sportsman before moving to London to study Osteopathy, he played under-age GAA with Shelmaliers GAA Club, St Peter’s College, and Inter- County with Wexford. At 21 he switched to rugby and played senior rugby with Old Belvedere RFC and Leinster before the professional era. He represented Ireland in 3rd Level Colleges competition. He has been through the wars himself. He has learned much through his own recovery from old injuries and traumas and their effect on him!
He has completed many post-graduate courses in
- Cranial Osteopathy
- Biodynamic Osteopathy
- Paediatric Osteopathy
- Obstetric Osteopathy
He will become a Fellow of the Sutherland Cranial College in 2023 when he completes his final course on the fellowship pathway.
He learned from his rugby days that if you want to be an “A” player you have to seek out and learn from “A+” players. He has carried this philosophy into his work as an osteopath. He brings over 20yrs of experience watching and learning from some of Europe’s and possibly the world’s best osteopaths.
He believes his best teachers have been his clients. He has learned how to unlock and support the body’s inherent health restorative mechanisms and remove the stresses and strains that cause pain, illness and dysfunction to the person on all levels; physical, emotional, mental and developmental. He now believes it is a privilege to do the work of osteopathy and is constantly amazed at how the body/person can recover once you have the right key to unlock the right door in the body. He has spent over 20yrs learning what keys to use where and when. He enjoys nothing more than unravelling the unique puzzle that every individual body/person presents to him. He has extensive experience in all forms of Osteopathy but continues his learning by attending new post-graduate courses annually, always adding tools to his toolbox.
